Kyle Beaudry, a second-year mechanical engineering student, landed summer employment as an designer with Industrial Fabrications in Sudbury. Gaining practical experience by using CAD software, he has been working on a prototype for a specialized vehicle – resembling a Hummer – for underground mining. Mechanical engineering is now a four-year program at Laurentian. Kyle says that “the co-op placement option was instrumental in my decision to go to Laurentian.”
